Safe drinking water facility in 12 schools

Haldia :HPL subsidiary Adperma sets up safe drinking water facility in 12 schools; advances women empowerment and community Welfare initiatives 

As part of its ongoing commitment to inclusive and sustainable development, Adperma, a subsidiary of Haldia Petrochemicals Limited, undertook a series of community-centric CSR initiatives on Wednesday in Purba Medinipur, West Bengal.

To strengthen access to clean energy and safe drinking water, a Solar Power Plant and a Water Purifier-cum-Cooler were installed at Maa Sarada Siksha Niketan, Lakshya, Mahishadal. In addition, Water Purifier-cum-Coolers were distributed to 11 more schools in the region, benefiting students by ensuring the availability of safe drinking water and improved hygiene.

Furthering its focus on women’s empowerment and livelihood generation, Adperma inaugurated a Vocational Training Centre for women at Nabakusum Sangha. The centre will provide skill training in agarbatti making, paper cup making, and paper plate manufacturing, enabling women to achieve financial independence. To support product marketing and last-mile delivery, an e-Toto was also handed over to the centre.

In another significant initiative aimed at inclusion and accessibility, two battery-operated Totos were handed over to physically disabled students and adults at Mahishadal Protibondhi Monobikash Kendra, enhancing mobility and improving their ability to participate in daily economic and social activities.

Through these initiatives, Adperma reiterates its commitment to education, skill development, sustainability, and inclusive community growth, contributing meaningfully to the socio-economic development of communities in and around Purba Medinipur.
